Lewes Station 1857 - 1889

The major problem with modelling Lewes in any scale is the space required, but the desire to see the models I had created in their proper setting led me to accept a major compromise of omitting the London lines. This does still allow me however to include 90% of the buildings and structures.

The first slide shows the scope of the model overlaid on the map, showing the omitted lines in yellow and the baseboard boundaries in red.

With the some of the buildings having been constructed to 4mm : 1ft  I was locked into that scale therefore I decided to adopt P4 standards for the track and rolling stock. This does allow the track plan to accurately reflect the prototype.
